A shocking incident in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has left residents disturbed after a 37-year-old man, Biru Singh Bhadauria, died following an alleged attack linked to an old dispute. According to reports, the accused forced him onto the roof of a car and trapped both his hands in the vehicle’s windows before driving for around 1.5 kilometres. Old Dispute Allegedly Led to the Attack
Biru lived in the Arra area under the jurisdiction of Hanumant Vihar police station and worked as a salesperson for a food products company. He is survived by his wife, Reena, three children and other family members. According to his family, Biru had an argument a few days earlier with Rajveer and Mewalal, who are from the Khaddepur Nai Basti area. The family suspects that the earlier dispute led to the fatal attack. On Tuesday night, Biru was returning home after visiting a Dussehra fair when the alleged incident took place. Mewalal reportedly arrived in a car with Rajveer and three other people inside.
Man Allegedly Forced Onto Moving Car
According to the allegations, the men stopped Biru on the way and assaulted him. When he tried to escape, they allegedly hit him with the car. The situation then took a horrifying turn. Biru was reportedly placed on the roof of the vehicle, and his hands were trapped in the windows before the glass was closed. The car was then driven at speed while he struggled to hold on. The vehicle allegedly continued for around 1.5 kilometres, leaving him unable to free himself. The circumstances described by the family have raised serious concerns about the brutality of the attack.

The incident reportedly reached its final stage near Ashwani Trading Company in the Rajendra Nagar area, where Biru fell from the moving car. The accused allegedly drove over him after he landed on the road. He suffered severe injuries to several parts of his body, and his fingers were reportedly badly crushed. Devendra Singh Chauhan, who was passing nearby, recognised Biru and informed his family. Biru was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment, but he could not survive his injuries. The incident has caused outrage among his relatives, who are seeking justice for his death.
CCTV Footage Becomes Key Evidence
CCTV footage has emerged as an important part of the investigation. According to the report, images from more than two dozen cameras captured the car’s movements and aspects of the incident. The footage could help investigators reconstruct the route taken by the vehicle and establish the sequence of events. The recordings have also drawn attention to the case, with residents seeking accountability over the alleged attack.
Police Investigating the Murder Case
