Police in Rajasthan’s Deeg district have arrested a woman in connection with the alleged murder of her 13-year-old twin children in Badeshera village. The case came to light on Wednesday morning after the children’s bodies were discovered, prompting police to launch an investigation. Investigators suspect that the mother may have been involved in the killings and allegedly tried to divert suspicion away from herself.
Bodies Found Away From the House
According to preliminary police findings, the twins were allegedly killed inside their home with a sharp-edged weapon. Their bodies were then reportedly taken around 200 metres away and concealed. After family members raised suspicions, police examined the crime scene and questioned people connected to the case. Investigators said evidence gathered during the probe pointed towards the children’s mother. She was subsequently arrested following questioning. A police team, along with Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) personnel, inspected the scene and collected evidence. The weapon allegedly used in the crime and other material evidence are being examined as part of the investigation.
Police Investigating Possible Motive
Police are also examining the circumstances of the woman’s personal life to establish a possible motive. Preliminary information suggests that she had been living at her maternal home for around eight years following her husband’s death. Investigators are reportedly exploring whether a romantic relationship may have been connected to the alleged crime. However, authorities have not yet conclusively established the motive, and the suspected involvement of any other person is also being investigated. Further details are expected as the police investigation progresses.
