Delhi Police has made extensive security arrangements ahead of the INDIA bloc rally scheduled to take place in the national capital on November 1. With several prominent opposition leaders expected to attend the event at Ramlila Maidan, authorities are preparing for a large gathering. To ensure security and maintain law and order, the entire venue has been divided into 14 security zones. More than 200 CCTV cameras will monitor activities across the venue and surrounding areas. Police personnel will also use body-worn cameras, drones and other surveillance equipment. Senior Delhi Police officials are closely monitoring the preparations to ensure that the event passes off peacefully.

More Than 4,000 Police Personnel to Manage Security
According to Delhi Police, more than 4,000 police personnel will be deployed to manage security during the rally. Companies of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) will also assist in maintaining law and order. Each of the 14 security zones at Ramlila Maidan will be supervised by an officer of the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP). Senior officers will oversee the overall security arrangements. Police deployment will not be restricted to the venue alone. Additional personnel will also be stationed along the proposed rally route and in other sensitive areas nearby. The arrangements are aimed at managing the crowd effectively and preventing any untoward incidents.

Over 200 CCTV Cameras and Body-Worn Cameras for Surveillance
Technology will play a key role in the security arrangements for the rally. More than 200 CCTV cameras will be used to monitor activities at Ramlila Maidan and its surrounding areas. Police personnel will also wear body cameras to record activities and maintain better surveillance on the ground. Drones and other monitoring equipment will further help authorities keep track of crowd movement. A control room will be set up at the venue to monitor live CCTV footage. Special security checks will be conducted at entry and exit points. Visitors will be screened using metal detectors, while security personnel will remain alert to any suspicious activity.

Proposed March from Connaught Place to Ramlila Maidan
Several leaders from Congress and other INDIA bloc parties are expected to participate in the rally. Prominent opposition leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamata Banerjee and Akhilesh Yadav, are among the names being discussed in connection with the event. The programme is expected to begin with a march from Connaught Place towards Ramlila Maidan via Minto Road Junction and Ajmeri Gate. Opposition parties have organised the demonstration as part of their protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. INDIA bloc leaders are also demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Delhi Police is coordinating with the organisers to ensure effective crowd management and maintain law and order throughout the event.

Traffic Restrictions Likely Between 10 AM and 5 PM
The rally is also expected to affect traffic movement across several major roads in Delhi. Traffic restrictions and diversions will remain in place from 10 AM to 5 PM on November 1 in areas including ITO, Delhi Gate, Rajghat, Ajmeri Gate and Turkman Gate. Commuters may face traffic restrictions around Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Minto Road and Desh Bandhu Gupta Road. Special arrangements will be made to ensure the smooth movement of ambulances and other emergency vehicles. Passengers travelling to New Delhi Railway Station have been advised to leave early and allow extra time for their journey. Delhi Police aims to ensure tight security during the political gathering while minimising inconvenience to the general public.
