UP TGT Recruitment 2026: Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prayagraj, has released a bumper recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Teacher (TGT) in the state's aided schools. A total of 17,735 posts will be filled through this recruitment process. The application process for this recruitment has been started. interested and eligible candidates can visit the official website to apply. The last date to apply has been fixed as November 23.

How Many posts
A total of 17,735 posts will be selected through this recruitment drive. This includes 16,193 posts for boys' schools and 1,542 posts for girls' schools.

What qualification is required
To apply for this recruitment, the candidate must have a graduation degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks, or a post-graduation degree with at least 45% marks. Additional qualifications have also been asked. Apart from this a teaching qualification recognized by NCTE and passing the Upper Primary level Teacher Eligibility Test is mandatory.

Age Limit
To apply for this recruitment, the candidate minimum age should be 21 years and according to the advertisement, the maximum age limit has been fixed as the age of superannuation (retirement) i.e. 62 years. At the same time, according to the rules, relaxation in the age limit wil be given to candidates from reserved categories.

Application Fee
Regarding the application fee, candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay Rs 1000, those from the SC and ST categories must pay Rs 500, and candidates with disabilities are required to pay Rs 300.
