RRB Station Master: There is big news for the youth dreaming of a job in Indian Railways. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a short notification for the recruitment to 1,250 vacant posts Station Master. Applications for this recruitment will start from October 27 which will continue till the specified last date of November 25, 2026. To participate in the recruitment, candidates will be able to fill out the form online on the official portal rrbapply.gov.in. There will be only one CBT exam
Railway has made the selection process for Station Master quite simple this time. Earlier, candidates had to appear for two stages of examinations, CBT 1 and CBT 2. But now, candidates will have to take only single computer-based test.

Selection Process
First, there will be a written computer-based test (CBT). Based on the CBT exam, successful candidates equal to 8 times the total posts will be called for the computer Based Aptitude Test. After this, there will be Document Verification and Medical Examination and finally, the final selection list will be released. For the final selection, a weightage of 70 percent of the written exam marks and 30 percent of the CBAT test will be added.

Educational Qualification and Age Limit
To apply for this recruitment, candidates must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Apart from this, the minimum age of the candidate for application is fixed at 20 years and the maximum age is 30 years. Candidates of reserved categories will get relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules.

Salary
In This recruitment, according to the 7th Pay Commission, the post of Station Master comes under Pay Level-6 for the selected candidates. At this level the initial basic salary is Rs 35,400 per month. In addition, benefits like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Traveling Allowance may be available as per rules. A separate allowance for night duty may also be available as per applicable rules. Adding of these the total monthly salary can be around Rs 50,000 to 60,000 or more.
