Police have arrested the main accused, Shraddha Dubey, along with her sister Rashmi, driver Danish and former boyfriend Aamir. Different Lipstick Marks Raise Questions
According to police sources, lipstick marks found on Shiva’s face and chest appear to have come from different lips, with reports also pointing to differences in the lipstick flavours. During questioning, Shraddha reportedly admitted that Shiva was her partner and said the lipstick mark on his chest was hers. However, she did not provide a clear answer when questioned about the mark on his face. Police are trying to establish how the marks appeared and whether they help explain what happened before his death.
Cigarette Burns and Bite Marks Under Investigation
Investigators are also examining cigarette burn marks on Shiva’s hands and legs and bite marks on his waist. Police reportedly questioned Shraddha about these injuries, but she did not provide detailed answers, saying her lawyer would respond. Her sister Rashmi and driver Danish were questioned separately, but these sessions reportedly failed to resolve the key issues. Investigators are examining the injuries alongside other evidence to reconstruct the events leading up to Shiva’s death.
Domestic Worker’s Statement Provides a Lead
Police sources say questioning Shraddha’s domestic worker has provided a possible direction for the investigation. The worker reportedly said she heard the voices of Shraddha and her sister during the incident but did not actually witness what happened. She was in the kitchen while the events allegedly unfolded in the bedroom. Her statement may help investigators establish a sequence of events, although the information is based on what she says she heard rather than what she personally saw.
Police Prepare for Custodial Interrogation
Shraddha, Rashmi and Danish were reportedly sent to judicial custody for 10 days after being produced before a court. Shraddha’s bail application was rejected, and Aamir was also sent to jail after his arrest. Police are now preparing to seek custodial remand for Shraddha, Rashmi and Danish. Investigators reportedly plan to question them separately and may take them to the crime scene to understand the sequence of events. Further questioning could help clarify the circumstances surrounding Shiva’s injuries and death.
How the Case Began
On the night of October 9, Shiva Sharma reportedly fell from a fourth-floor flat in the Avadh Green Apartments in Lucknow’s Hazratganj area. He died at the scene. Reports said he was wearing only underwear and had several old and fresh injuries, including recent cigarette burns. After the incident, Shraddha allegedly fled with her sister and driver. She was reportedly arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force in Nagpur after an earlier attempt to leave the country through Nepal did not succeed. Police are continuing to investigate what led to Shiva’s death.
