The Maharashtra government has stepped up its response following a reported firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff’s car in Mumbai. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke with the Mumbai Police Commissioner to obtain details and directed the police to investigate the matter promptly and take strict action against those responsible. Fadnavis also spoke directly to Tiger Shroff and assured him that the government was taking the incident seriously.

Reassuring the actor, the Chief Minister said, “We are all with you. We will catch the culprits soon. Do not worry.” Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also contacted Tiger Shroff and his father, actor Jackie Shroff, to express concern and assure them of the government’s support.

Eknath Shinde Warns Those Behind the Firing
Shinde described the incident as disturbing and condemnable, stressing that the safety of Mumbai’s residents remains a priority. He said the police would identify and apprehend those involved, adding that no one attempting to spread fear in Mumbai or Maharashtra would be spared.

The Deputy Chief Minister said the government would take strict action regardless of who was behind the incident. Referring to Mumbai’s history of gang-related violence during the 1990s, he maintained that the police had previously dealt with similar threats and would respond firmly to the present case.

Security Arrangements for Actors to Be Reviewed
Shinde also said that security arrangements provided to actors in the state would be reviewed and that additional measures would be considered wherever necessary. He emphasised that the responsibility of protecting citizens applies equally to celebrities and ordinary residents.

The state government has reiterated that any attempt to threaten public safety would be dealt with seriously and that negligence in the investigation would not be tolerated.

Multiple Police Teams Investigating
