Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Minister Sandeep Singh, grandson of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, is preparing to begin a new chapter in his personal life. He is set to get engaged to Meghna Chaudhary on November 14 in Aligarh. The engagement has attracted attention because of the political background of Sandeep Singh's family. Interestingly, the story of the couple connects three cities: Aligarh, Ghaziabad and Delhi. The same day, Sandeep's younger brother Saurabh Singh will also get engaged to Antra Tyagi.

Meghna's Family Background

Meghna Chaudhary originally belongs to Rudayan, also known as Tarapur village, in the Gonda block of Aligarh district. However, her family has been living in Ghaziabad for a long time. Her grandfather, Radheshyam Chaudhary, lives in Tarapur village with his wife Savitri Devi. Radheshyam is a retired Indian Navy officer, while Meghna's father, Arun Chaudhary, is involved in the contracting business. Her younger brother is named Karan Chaudhary. Although the family currently lives in Ghaziabad, it continues to maintain its connection with its ancestral village in Aligarh.

First Meeting at Delhi Public School

The relationship between Sandeep Singh and Meghna began during their school days. Both studied at Delhi Public School, where they first met. Sandeep was senior to Meghna and completed his Class 12 education in 2012 before leaving the school. Meghna continued her studies and later went abroad to pursue legal education. Their academic journeys took them in different directions, but their school-time acquaintance remained. Over the years, that connection gradually developed into a marriage relationship.

Marriage Talks Started in 2024

According to the report, discussions between the two families about the marriage began in 2024. Members of Sandeep Singh's family also visited Meghna's family in Ghaziabad. However, some family differences initially delayed the discussions. Later, both families reached an understanding and finalised the relationship. The upcoming engagement on November 14 will mark the formal beginning of a new chapter for the couple, whose association dates back to their school days.

Two Engagements on the Same Day

The families have planned a double celebration in Aligarh on November 14. Along with Sandeep Singh and Meghna Chaudhary, his younger brother Saurabh Singh Verma will get engaged to Antra Tyagi. Both engagements will take place on the same day and at the same venue. Invitations are being sent to guests, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also been invited by the family to attend the celebrations.

Wedding Scheduled for November 27

After the engagement, Sandeep Singh and Meghna Chaudhary are scheduled to get married in Delhi on November 27. Saurabh Singh's wedding is also planned for the same day. Sandeep Singh represents the Atrauli Assembly constituency in Aligarh and serves as Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Basic Education in the Yogi Adityanath government. He is the grandson of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, while his father, Rajveer Singh, has also been active in politics and served as an MP from Etah. The school-time connection between Sandeep and Meghna is now set to turn into a marriage.
