Wi-Fi Router Settings: In todays time, whether you have to work from home, watch web series for entertainment, or do any other important work, almost everything at home relies on Wi-Fi. But many times it happens that full Wi-Fi signal is visible on the phone or laptop, yet the internet runs very slow anf buffering starts on videos. If this happens to you as well there is no need to worry. Lets know why the internet runs slow despite having full signal and how it can be fixed by yourself without the help of any expert.

Do a Speed Test
First of all, check the internet speed test on your phone or laptop. If the download and upload speeds in the test is coming much lower than your broadband plan, then understand that the problem is not in your Wi-Fi, but from the side of your internet service provider that is, the company itself.

Reboot the Router
But if the connection is fine from behind and still pages are taking time to load in your browser, then check your router once. Like a phone, a router also slows down and gets minor technical glitches after being continuously on for weeks. The easiest way to fix this is to turn off the power button of the router and turn it on again after waiting for about 30 seconds. This refreshes the router's memory and helps improve its speed.

Reduce the Load of Devices
Nowadays, everyone’s phones, laptops, smart TVs, and cameras in a household are connected to the same router. When so many gadgets are active on the same network at once, the speed of internet data gets divided among everyone and the internet suddenly slows down due to heavy load on the network If a large file is  downloading or a 4K video is streaming, that device absorbs all the bandwidth. Therefore, disconnect unnecessary devices during important work.

Choose the Right Frequency Band
Most homes have dual-band routers, which offer two options: 2.4GHz and 5GHz. If you are sitting near the router and require high speed, always select the 5GHz network. Conversely, if you are in another room, further away from the router, it is better to use the 2.4GHz network for better coverage.

Forget the Network and Reconnect
If the internet is working fine on other devices and the issue is only on your phone, then go to your phone's settings and 'forget' the Wi-Fi network once. After this Reconnecting by entering the password again fixes minoe network bugs instantly.
