Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared that he will continue serving the people of India until his last breath. Speaking at a public rally in Bhildi town of Gujarat’s Banaskantha district on Friday, October 30, Modi made the statement amid the political controversy surrounding Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent remark, “Modi ka baap bhi jayega.” Without directly naming Kharge, the Prime Minister responded by reaffirming his commitment to public service and launched a sharp attack on the Opposition.

Accuses Opposition of Wanting to See India in Trouble

During his speech, Modi accused certain Opposition leaders of feeling happy whenever the country faces difficulties. He said that while farmers, young people and women are working towards building a developed India, some people cannot accept the country's progress. According to the Prime Minister, such political groups try to create panic during difficult situations instead of standing together with the nation. He alleged that their objective was to create disorder across the country and damage his reputation.

War Situation and Rumours About LPG Supply

Referring to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, Modi accused the Opposition of spreading rumours about shortages of essential commodities, including cooking gas and fertilisers. He claimed that people were being made to fear that LPG supplies would stop and families would struggle to cook food. He also alleged that such messages were being used to create anxiety among women and ordinary households. The Prime Minister said the country needed unity and responsible behaviour during an international crisis.

Modi Says Farmers Faced No Fertiliser Shortage

Addressing farmers, Modi said the government had ensured that fertiliser supplies remained available despite the international conflict. He alleged that the Opposition had tried to create fear among farmers by suggesting that fertiliser would become unavailable. According to Modi, the government had taken responsibility for managing the additional costs caused by rising international prices. He said the aim was to ensure that Indian farmers did not have to bear the full impact of the global crisis.

Urea and DAP Prices Compared With Global Rates

Modi also highlighted the difference between international fertiliser prices and the rates paid by Indian farmers. He said that a bag of urea costs around ₹3,000 in the international market, while Indian farmers receive it for less than ₹300. Similarly, he claimed that the global price of a bag of DAP fertiliser had crossed ₹5,000, but Indian farmers were getting it for ₹1,350. He said the government was absorbing the additional financial burden to protect farmers from rising costs.

₹14,000 Crore Projects and PM-Kisan Instalment Released

The Prime Minister was addressing the gathering after inaugurating the Bharat Bovine Breeding and Research Centre in Bhildi. During his Gujarat visit, he also launched development projects worth ₹14,000 crore and laid the foundation stones for several others. He released the 24th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, under which eligible farmers receive ₹6,000 annually. Modi also appreciated the organisers for arranging charpoys instead of chairs for the audience, calling it possibly one of the biggest gatherings of its kind.
