Weather conditions have changed across several parts of India, including the national capital Delhi. Rainfall is continuing in northern, southern and eastern states, while temperatures are gradually falling in North India, bringing a chill in the air. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued its weather forecast for November 1, warning of rain in 16 states and Union Territories. Meanwhile, another cyclonic system is reportedly developing over the Bay of Bengal following Cyclone Arnab. According to the forecast cited in the report, the system is expected to reach the Andhra Pradesh coast on November 3.
Delhi-NCR: Cloudy Skies and Falling Temperatures
Delhi-NCR has witnessed a change in weather over the past two days, with rainfall associated with Cyclone Arnab. The showers have brought down temperatures, and residents are beginning to feel the chill. The IMD expects cloudy skies to continue on November 1. The maximum temperature is likely to remain between 28°C and 30°C, while the minimum may range from 16°C to 18°C. Light north-westerly winds are expected in the morning, gaining speed to around 22 kmph by the afternoon. On November 2, the maximum and minimum temperatures are forecast to be around 30°C and 16°C, respectively.
Rainfall Brings Temporary Relief From Pollution
Rain and strong winds have helped clear dust and some pollutants from the atmosphere in Delhi and neighbouring areas. The report says the Air Quality Index (AQI) has improved, with several major cities in the National Capital Region reportedly entering the green zone. The changing weather has also had a noticeable impact on temperatures across the region.
Rajasthan: Light Rain Possible in Some Areas
A western disturbance is currently active over Rajasthan, bringing rainfall to several districts. According to the IMD forecast cited in the report, light rain may continue in isolated parts of the state on November 1.
