RPF RPSF Bonus 2026 : On the occasion of Diwali, some railway employees are set to receive a bonus. The Ministry of Railways has approved a 30-day bonus for Group C employees of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Force (RPSF) for the financial year 2025-26. The payment will be made as a Non-Productivity Linked Bonus, also known as an ad-hoc bonus. Notably, there is no minimum or maximum salary eligibility limit, but a monthly ceiling of Rs 7,000 has been fixed for calculating the bonus.

Circular Issued On November 2
The Ministry of Railways issued a circular on November 2 regarding the bonus. According to it, all eligible Group C employees of the RPF and RPSF will receive the benefit. Both uniformed and non-uniformed employees are covered under the scheme. Employees posted at any location may receive the bonus if they fulfil the prescribed conditions.

Maximum Bonus Amount Will Be Rs 6,908
The bonus amount will be calculated on the basis of whichever is lower: the employee's average monthly salary or the prescribed limit of Rs 7,000. For the calculation, this monthly amount will be divided by 30.4 and then multiplied by 30. Accordingly, an employee whose average monthly salary is Rs 7,000 or more will receive a maximum bonus of Rs 6,907.89. This amount will be rounded off to Rs 6,908.

Employees Must Have Been In Service On March 31
To qualify for the bonus, an employee must have been in service on March 31, 2026. Additionally, they must have completed at least six months of continuous service during the financial year 2025-26. Employees who have worked for six months but less than one year will not receive the full 30-day bonus. Their bonus will instead be calculated proportionately according to the number of months worked.

Rules Also Cover Retired And Deceased Employees
The circular also mentions certain special circumstances. Employees who retired during the financial year after completing at least six months of regular service may also qualify for the bonus. Similarly, in cases where an employee dies while in service, the bonus may be paid subject to the prescribed conditions. Temporary employees who have worked without any break in service may also receive the benefit in accordance with the rules.

Which Railway Employees Will Receive Benefits?
This bonus is not applicable to all railway employees. Only eligible Group C employees of the RPF and RPSF will receive the benefit. They must fulfil conditions such as completing six months of continuous service and being in service on March 31, 2026. For employees whose average monthly salary exceeds Rs 7,000, the bonus will still be calculated using the prescribed salary ceiling. Thus, eligible employees can receive a maximum bonus of Rs 6,908.
