Public Holiday in the State
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced this on Wednesday. He stated that on the upcoming October 29, on the day of Karwa Chauth, there will be a public holiday in the entire state.
Men Will Also Get Holiday
Let us tell you that earlier on this festival only female employees used to get leave. Now after the government's new decision, both husband and wife will be able to celebrate the festival together. Offices and Schools-Colleges Will Remain Closed
On October 29, all government offices of the state will remain completely closed. Apart from this, there will also be a holiday in all government and private schools and colleges of the state. Prior to this, the Himachal government had taken the decision to give leave to men on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan as well.
