Warehouse Catches Fire on the Third Floor
STO Ravinder said the fire broke out in a warehouse located on the building’s third floor. Artificial flowers and other decorative products were stored there. As soon as the department received the alert, firefighters launched an immediate response. Given the nature of the fire, personnel worked carefully to extinguish the flames and prevent them from spreading to other parts of the building.
Five Fire Service Vehicles Control the Blaze
The fire department deployed three water tenders, one water bowser and one quick response vehicle to tackle the blaze. Firefighters operated at the scene under the leadership of STO Ravinder. According to the department, the fire was brought under control by 12:20 PM. This means the firefighting operation succeeded in containing the blaze within approximately 39 minutes. Emergency Response Challenging in Sadar Bazaar
Delhi’s Sadar Bazaar is one of the capital’s major wholesale trading hubs. The area has a large number of shops, warehouses and commercial establishments. Its narrow lanes and heavy traffic can make it difficult for emergency vehicles to reach incident sites quickly. In such crowded areas, the timely arrival of fire engines and efforts to prevent flames from spreading are particularly important.
Fire Also Reported at Jhilmil Factory
A day earlier, on Tuesday, a fire broke out at a plastic granule manufacturing factory in East Delhi’s Jhilmil industrial area. Four fire service vehicles reportedly brought the blaze under control after around 40 minutes of firefighting. No casualties were reported in that incident either. With fires reported on two consecutive days, the incidents have once again highlighted the importance of effective fire safety measures in industrial and commercial areas.
