Tensions between the United States and Iran have risen again after US President Donald Trump warned Tehran to change its position soon or face American action. The warning triggered a sharp response from Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, who challenged Washington to try another confrontation with Iran. In a post on social media platform X, Araghchi claimed that Iran had emerged stronger after the previous US action against it. His response has added a new twist to the already strained relations between the two countries, raising fresh concerns about the possibility of another military confrontation.

Araghchi Challenges Washington

Responding to Trump’s warning, Araghchi said that the previous attempt to defeat Iran had failed to weaken the country as expected. He wrote that Iran had emerged stronger after the earlier confrontation and asked whether the US wanted to test its luck again. He also warned Washington that Iran had unfinished business of its own. The statement was a direct challenge to Trump’s threat and signalled that Tehran was not prepared to back down under pressure. Araghchi’s remarks have intensified the war of words between the two governments.

Iranian Minister Targets Netanyahu

Araghchi also accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of trying to push the United States into another war. According to the Iranian foreign minister, Netanyahu wants to avoid legal action against him in Israel by escalating tensions with Iran. Araghchi warned that the consequences of such a conflict could be serious for both Israel and Trump. His comments linked the latest US warning to the wider political and military tensions involving Washington, Tehran and Tel Aviv. However, these claims reflect the Iranian minister’s position and have not been independently established.

Trump Publicly Backs Netanyahu

The exchange came after Trump openly expressed support for Netanyahu ahead of Israel’s parliamentary elections scheduled for October 27. In a message posted on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump described Netanyahu as a strong wartime leader and an important partner in efforts to achieve peace. He also accused Iran of threatening Israel and the United States for decades. Trump referred to Iranian slogans calling for the death of Israel and America, arguing that Tehran’s threats could become a reality if the situation was not addressed.

Trump Warns Iran to Change Its Course

Trump claimed that Iran’s military strength and economic position had been significantly weakened. He warned that if Tehran did not change its position soon, the United States would act to finish the job. His remarks suggested that Washington was prepared to increase pressure on Iran if its demands were not met. The warning has drawn a forceful response from Tehran, with Araghchi making clear that Iran would not be intimidated by threats of military action. The competing statements have once again placed the risk of a wider regional confrontation in the spotlight.

Trump Urges Israelis to Re-elect Netanyahu

Trump also appealed to Israeli voters to choose Netanyahu rather than another leader. He said that electing the wrong person could create serious problems and declared his full support for Netanyahu’s return as prime minister. The remarks have added another political dimension to the growing tensions with Iran. While Trump has threatened further action against Tehran, Araghchi has challenged Washington to reconsider its approach. The sharp exchange highlights the continuing hostility between the two sides, with the possibility of further escalation remaining a major concern.
