Train Schedule Change 2026 : The Railways has issued an important advisory for passengers planning to travel home during the festive season. Due to development work and railway track maintenance in the Chakradharpur and Adra divisions of South Eastern Railway, the operations of several trains have been changed. Some trains will run only up to a designated station, while others will remain completely cancelled. Passengers travelling from Tatanagar and nearby stations should check their train status before leaving for the station.

Operations Changed Due To Development Work
The decision has been taken due to essential work underway in the Chakradharpur and Adra divisions of the Railways. These activities will affect MEMU trains operating on the Asansol, Purulia, Tatanagar and nearby routes. Keeping passenger convenience and operational arrangements in mind, the Railways has decided to run some trains over shorter distances and cancel certain services.

These Trains Will Run Only Up To Adra
According to information released by the Railways, train number 63594 Asansol-Purulia MEMU and train number 63593 Purulia-Asansol MEMU will remain affected until November 6 and 7. Meanwhile, the operations of train numbers 68060 and 68056 Tatanagar-Asansol-Barabhum MEMU will follow a revised arrangement on November 5 and 8. Instead of reaching their scheduled destinations, these trains will operate only up to Adra. Passengers travelling beyond Adra may face inconvenience.

These Trains Will Remain Cancelled November 8
The Railways has decided to completely cancel certain trains on November 8. These include train number 68046 Asansol-Adra MEMU, 63593 Purulia-Asansol MEMU, 63594 Asansol-Purulia MEMU and 68045 Adra-Asansol MEMU. Passengers planning to travel on these trains may have to make alternative arrangements for their journeys.

Check Train Status Before Starting Your Journey
The impact of these changes may not be limited to MEMU trains alone. Therefore, passengers should also check information about other trains operating on nearby routes. They should enter their train number on NTES, the National Train Enquiry System, to check the latest status. This can provide information about cancellations, changes in timings or route diversions. To avoid last-minute inconvenience, passengers should check the latest train updates before leaving for the station.
