This year, Diwali will be celebrated on November 8th. The administration has taken a strict stance regarding the purchase of 'green' firecrackers on Diwali. In many areas, including Delhi-NCR, only approved green firecrackers are permitted to be burst. Purchasing fake or banned firecrackers could lead to legal action and fines. Therefore, keep a few important points in mind whenever you go to buy firecrackers.
Sealed Packing
Always buy sealed boxes. Avoid purchasing open packets or those that lack essential information.
Licensed Shop
Always purchase firecrackers only from shops that are authorized and licensed by the government. Do not buy from roadside vendors who have set up shop without permission.
Scan the QR Code
Make sure to scan the QR code on the packet using your mobile phone. This provides complete information regarding the manufacture of the firecracker, its license number, and batch.
Do Not Buy If Information Is Not Found
If no information appears upon scanning, or if the information does not match what is printed on the packet, do not purchase such firecrackers at all.
Action Against Rule Breakers
It is worth noting that if anyone does not follow the rules, in such a situation, fines can be imposed on rule breakers, shopkeepers, and manufacturers, and their goods can also be seized.
