DDA Flat Sales 2026 : Demand for flats offered by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is rising rapidly in the national capital. The trend is evident from the fact that more homes have been sold in the first seven months of the current financial year than during the entire previous financial year. Between April and October 2026, DDA sold a total of 9,332 flats, compared with 5,198 during the same period last year. This represents an increase of 4,134 flats in one year. According to the figures, flat sales have surged by approximately 80%.
Demand Rises Across All Three Categories
Sales have also increased across the three major categories of DDA flats. A total of 5,171 Low-Income Group (LIG) flats were sold between April and October. During the entire previous financial year, 3,547 flats in this category were sold. Meanwhile, 1,704 Middle-Income Group (MIG) flats were sold, compared with 1,580 during the whole previous year. In the High-Income Group (HIG) category, 820 flats have been sold, whereas only 404 were sold in the previous financial year.
Narela Emerges As Buyers' First Choice
Narela reportedly accounts for more than 90% of DDA's total flat sales. Growing interest among homebuyers is being attributed to improvements in road and transport infrastructure in the area. Connectivity has improved through the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II). Additionally, the proposed Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro Corridor is expected to benefit the area. These developments have made Narela an important option for people looking to purchase DDA flats.
Education Hub To Increase Area's Importance
An education hub is being developed across 138 hectares of land in Narela. Sports complexes and green spaces are also being planned in the area. The development of these facilities is increasing people's interest in living and purchasing homes there. Road and metro connectivity projects could also give Narela's development a further boost. However, the full benefits of the proposed metro corridor and other projects will become available only after their completion.
Flat Bookings Open Until December 31
DDA has extended the last date for booking flats under three housing schemes to December 31, 2026. These include the DDA Karmayogi Awas Yojana 2025, Karmjeev Awas Yojana 2026 and Nagrik Awas Yojana 2026. Interested buyers can now apply and book flats under these schemes until the revised deadline. The extension gives additional time to people planning to purchase a home in Delhi.
DDA Flats Are Ready To Move In
According to DDA, the flats offered under these schemes are freehold and ready to move in. This means buyers will not have to wait for construction to be completed before occupying their homes. Interested buyers can also inspect sample flats before making a booking decision. Online bookings can be made through DDA's official housing portal. Buyers need to visit the DDA housing portal to complete the booking process.
