Weather Forecast for November 3, 2026: After the effects of Cyclone Arnab subside, a new cyclone named Murasu is reportedly moving toward the Andhra Pradesh coast. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rain alert for 19 states and union territories. Heavy rainfall is expected in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. Meanwhile, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh are experiencing drier weather, with cooler temperatures and worsening air pollution becoming major concerns.
Weather conditions have changed across several parts of India, including the national capital. Rainfall associated with Cyclone Arnab has largely subsided, but the reported development of Cyclone Murasu has raised concerns along the eastern coast. According to the forecast cited in the report, the IMD expects rainfall in 19 states and union territories on November 3. Here is a look at the expected weather conditions in Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh.
Rain Stops in Delhi-NCR as Temperatures Drop and Pollution Worsens
Weather conditions in Delhi-NCR have changed following recent rainfall and strong winds. The temporary improvement in air quality appears to be fading, with pollution levels once again becoming a concern. GRAP Stage I and Stage II restrictions have reportedly been implemented in the capital to address deteriorating air quality. According to the forecast for November 2 to November 7, the weather is expected to remain mostly clear throughout the week, with partly cloudy skies possible and little chance of rain.
On November 3, Delhi's maximum temperature is forecast to reach around 29°C, while the minimum may fall to 16°C. On November 4, the maximum temperature could drop to 28°C, with the minimum remaining near 16°C. Residents of Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and Gurugram may experience cooler mornings and evenings. Children, older adults and people with respiratory conditions should take precautions if air pollution levels rise.
Uttar Pradesh to Remain Mostly Dry as Nights Turn Colder
The influence of Cyclone Arnab over Uttar Pradesh has largely diminished. According to the weather forecast cited in the report, most parts of the state are expected to experience dry conditions, except for Sonbhadra and some areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh. Daytime temperatures could rise by around 5°C over the next three days, while nighttime temperatures may fall by 2°C to 4°C. This combination is likely to make afternoons warmer and nights noticeably cooler.
Most areas of the state have reportedly returned to clearer weather, apart from parts of the Vindhya region. Sunshine is expected to become stronger during the day as temperatures gradually increase. However, light to moderate fog may develop in several districts during the morning hours. Residents should monitor local weather updates for changes in visibility and temperature, particularly during early-morning travel.
